David Grant

Managing Director

Dip. Q.S. & Dip. Construction Management

Joined the company in  November 2006 as a Junior Quantity Surveyor and worked his way to his current position.  David is now a majority Shareholder and Managing Director.  David spends his time outside of work with his young family, landscaping and playing indoor sports like netball and basketball.

Responsibilities include Construction Pricing and Project Management.

Paul Faulkner

Construction Supervisor

During his school holidays in 1994, Paul worked as a labourer for Stewart Construction. In 1996, he began his apprenticeship with the company after completing his pre-trade course at Otago Polytechnic. Paul successfully completed his apprenticeship in 1999 and became a foreman in 2001.  Paul has recently joined the role management team as Construction Supervisor and has adapted to the position well.

 

Paul has extensive experience completing commercial projects, primarily in the education sector, such as school halls, libraries, classrooms, and toilet blocks. He has also worked on numerous architecturally designed residential buildings of various sizes, and his attention to detail is exceptional.

 

One of the things that Paul values most about working for Stewart Construction is their unwavering commitment to quality. Outside of work, he enjoys snowboarding and boating in his spare time.

Jodie Peters

Director / Contracts Manager

Jodie ran his own building business in Wellington before migrating south and becoming a Foreman for Stewart's in 2011 and a Contract Manager in 2012.  Jodie is one of 3 Directors of Stewart Construction and spends much of his time outside of work with his young family and building projects at home.

Jo Autridge

Office Manager

Jo keeps the office humming.  She's the go to for all accounts receivable and payable. She's the source of much hilarity in the office.  She is devoted to her delightful dog Lucy who sometimes if she's really lucky gets to spend the day in the office with mum. 

 

Matt Boivin

Contracts Manager

Matt also hails from the BOP, a qualified builder, has come most recently from the electrical trade as a Quantity Surveyor.  Matt dedicates is free time to Cycling, his beloved schnauzers and his crib in Clyde.

Barry Taylor

Joinery Manager

Barry is a Joiner by trade he joined the company in 2017 as Joinery Manager.   He keeps himself busy out of work hours with DIY, family and spending time in his caravan in Clyde. 

Sam Brouwer

Director / Quantity Surveyor

Diploma in Construction Quantity Surveying

Sam originally started as an Apprentice Builder with us however due to a career ending soccer injury decided to join the office dwellers as a Quantity Surveyor.  Sam is one of three Directors of Stewart Construction. 

Sam Hobson

Health and Safety Coordinator

Dip. Workplace Health and Safety Management

Sam looks after all aspects of Health and Safety for Stewart Construction.  She has a passion for occupational health.  Outside of work will find her trekking up hills, mountains or at the beach with her two dogs.  

 

Stephen Bithell

Quantity Surveyor

Diploma in Construction Quantity Surveying

Stephen is the newest member to join our team.  He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and an English accent!  Stephens background as a qualified builder gives him the ability to understand the requirements for all types of projects.

Rachael McDowall

Receptionist

Rachael is the voice behind the phone, she has been connected with the Dunedin Surf Life Saving Club for many years, represented NZ in Bowls and keeps us all fed with yummy treats.
